In 1946 Mr. NuriÖlçal has built the first milling machine to produce wheat in Gaziantep with the AlunGıdaA.S. company name.
In 1964 his sons CevdetÖlçal and Ali İhsanÖlçal has added the semolina production to the company. After being many years in the food market with a trustable name, brothers agreed to establish a new company for pasta production. In 1985AlestaGidaA.S., growing flavor brand of Turkey in macaroni sector, began production in Gaziantep. It started as the third pasta producer in Turkey.
Today AlestaGidaA.S. is a leading manufacturer of macaroni and semolina in Turkey. “We operate in Gaziantep to produce 50 different macaroni types like spaghetti, penne, elbow, vermicelli, spirali… Our production is without human touch in a top level computer controlled continued integrated plant with the latest technology. We have different brands like Örnek, SeaSun and Mum. We can also make production for our customer’s private labels. All of our production is exported due to heavy demand for our quality from foreign countries,” says an official of Alesta.
“AlestaGidaA.S. uses carefully selected hard durum wheat’s semolina in the production process within the highest technology, which is controlled by computer system. Weobtain our unique flavor source from excellent quality durum wheat of 100% in our country. We care about quality and customer opinion therefore continuous quality control is performed pre-process, during process, pre-packing and post-packing stages by experienced engineers and technicians in laboratories equipped with developed control devices.We’re using the most expensive and most advanced machinery in the market;Bühler from Germany. Our company has the quality management system certificate of TS EN ISO 9001:2008 and TS EN ISO 22000:2005(HACCP) food safety management certificate.
“With the investments which will be realized in 2014 we will increase our production capacity by 150%. This increase will help us to service our customers more rapidly and more flexible.”
