The Specialty Food Association Presents: Keynote and sofi™ Awards Ceremony Featuring Chef Dominique Ansel
This year’s sofi Finalists will be in the spotlight at a gala red-carpet awards ceremony at the Summer Fancy Food Show as they await the announcement of who emerges a winner by internationally acclaimed pastry chef Dominique Ansel.
Widely known for his innovative products, including the Cronut®, a croissant-donut hybrid, Ansel will deliver the keynote address and preside over the awards. The ceremony is free to all show attendees with show badges.
Ansel, owner of Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York, sparked a media frenzy with the Cronut, which has been featured around the world and on Good Morning America, the Today Show, ABC’s The Chew, Inside Edition, Fox & Friends, and more. Scalpers hawk the limited-production $5 treat for up to $40, Time Magazine named it one of the 25 Best Inventions of 2013.
A devoted supporter of anti-hunger initiatives, Ansel will donate his speaking fee from the Specialty Food Association to City Harvest, the Fancy Food Show’s charity partner for more than 25 years.
