The Global Prebiotic Association (GPA), the only global trade association dedicated to advancing education, awareness, and scientific integrity around prebiotics, today announced the addition of five (5) new members. Icon Foods has joined at Board Member level, while Nutrileads, NutraBerry Incorporated, MUSB Research, and Seventure Partners join at the Associate Member level.

MUSB Research (Associate Member) – A prebiotic-focused research company with a deep emphasis on gut microbiome science, formulation development, and translational innovation in microbiota health applications.

GPA defines a prebiotic as ‘a product or ingredient that is utilized in the microbiota producing a health or performance benefit.’ A prebiotic effect is ‘a health or performance benefit that arises from alteration of the composition and/or activity of the microbiota, as a direct or indirect result of the utilization of a specific and well-defined product or ingredient by microorganisms.’
The organization’s core initiatives focus on product quality, regulatory strategy, science communication, and raising awareness about prebiotics across healthcare, government, and industry channels.
