Turkey’s only specialized fair catering the olive industry, the 5th Olivtech – Olive and Olive Oil Technologies Fair is organized by İzmir Fuarcılık Hizmetleri (İZFAŞ), and hosted by the Metropolitan Municipality of Izmir.
Olivtech – Olive and Olive Oil Technologies Fair will be held in Hall C of Fuar İzmir at Gaziemir, on 16-19 April 2015. Those who seek the best in olive and olive oil will once again meet in İzmir, at Olivtech. Olive oil –the golden liquid of Anatolia–, and olive –the fruit of peace– will achieve its potential of an international economic asset at Olivtech.
Providing a forum for all firms in the olive and olive oil production chain, from saplings to distribution, from machinery to innovation technologies; bringing them with domestic and foreign buyers, Olivtech will offer its participants the chance to cement important business connections.
In parallel to the stellar targets of the olive oil industry, Olivtech maintains its promotional activities in domestic as well as international markets with a never ceasing determination. Within the framework of Olivtech’s buyer programs, participants will get to meet professional buyers from many countries.
Olivtech, Turkey’s only specialized fair catering this sector, will offer a venue for domestic and foreign buyers to meet the representatives of the sectors. Firms engaged in the olive and olive oil production chain, from saplings to distribution, from machinery to innovation technologies, will be represented at the fair.
Olivtech 2014 in Figures
Olivtech 2014 was visited by 7,826 visitors from 27 countries and 36 provinces.
The visitors came from the following countries: Algeria, Austria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, TRNC, Tunisia, UAE, UK, Ukraine, USA and Yemen.
A total of 188 participants from Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Istanbul, İzmir, Manisa, and Muğla had booths in the fair covering an area of 11 thousand square meters.
Olivtech is organized with the support of TMMOB Chamber of Chemical Engineers, TMMOB Chamber of Food Engineers Aegean Region Branch, TMMOB Chamber of Agricultural Engineers Aegean Region Branch, and National Olive and Olive Oil Council (UZZK).
The fair is also supported by Izmir’s Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, İzmir Commodities Exchange, Aegean Exporter Associations, Republic of Turkey Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB).
The fair will have its gates open for 4 days between 10:00 – 19:00, and welcome professionals.
Two Fairs in One
On the other hand, alongside Olivtech, Izmir Fuarcılık (İZFAŞ) will also be organizing Ekoloji İzmir – 6th İzmir Organic Products Fair where exclusively organic certified products will be on display. Continuing the tradition, this second fair will be held simultaneously with Olivtech, in Hall D of Fuar İzmir, the largest and most modern fair complex of Turkey.
The only certified organic products fair representing Turkey in the national and international arena, Ekoloji İzmir provides a venue for firms engaged in certified production in various sectors, including organic textiles, organic cleaning products, organic cosmetics, organic furniture, organic decorations, organic toys and office supplies, and last but definitely not least, organic food.
Recognized as the “organic products capital” of Turkey, İzmir will continue to serve as the natural venue for the organic products fair.
