Anadolu Etap has been qualified for ‘’TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate’’

Anadolu Etap has been qualified for ‘’TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate’’ as the first fruit company in Turkey

Anadolu Etap has been qualified by Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) with “TSECOVID-19 Safe Production Certificate” for the high level measures it took against COVID-19. Meeting all the requirements in the guidelines prepared by the TSE, Anadolu Etap became the first fruit producer to be qualified for the certificate in Turkey.

Anadolu Etap has been qualified for ‘TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate’ by the TSE (Turkish Standards Institution) with the high level measures implementing in its farms and facilities. Balıkesir-Tahirova, Çanakkale-Kumkale, Konya-Karapınar farms and Balıkesir-Gönen packing house were evaluated by TSE within the scope of COVID-19 measures implemented in ‘growing, harvesting, transporting, storing and packaging activities of pome or stone fruits’ processes. Meeting all the requirements specified in COVID-19 hygiene, infection prevention and Control Guidelines, Anadolu Etap became the first fruit producer in Turkey to qualify for ‘COVID-19 safe Production Certificate’ Certification procedures are ongoing at Anadolu Etap’s fruit juice factories in Isparta, Denizli and Mersin where similar measures are already in place. The goal is to receive certificates for these locations soon.

Anadolu Etap General Manager Bahadır Açık noted that their company had begun taking measures in all their locations against COVID-19 as of January even before the very first case was reported in Turkey and has been stepping them up since. Açık said, “We became the first company to receive this certificate in our sector meeting all the requirements of TSE’s guidelines for the pandemic that steer companies in their actions against COVID-19. We have a great responsibility as a major player in the fruit industry. We safely continue to produce by taking measures at the highest level in order to meet the public need for healthy food since the very outset of the pandemic. We are implementing our precautions to the utmost degree in all phases of our supply chain operations with an eye for the health and well-being of our employees and the public in particular as guided by the Ministry of Health and the agencies concerned. Thanks to these precautions, our farms continue to harvest, our factories keep processing and our packing houses keep packaging in a healthy and safe way.”

Noting that they delivered fresh fruits and fruit juice concentrates to more than 60 countries, Açık said, “In all of our Global operations, we act with the principles of sustainable agriculture and international quality standards. With our high quality fruit and juice concentrates, we provide continuous service to our customers both domestically and internationally from the Far East to the United States.  65 percent of our sales come from exports. We are expanding into a wider geography with the addition of new countries and customers to our portfolio every year. We kept our promise for high quality standards with the measures we took during the pandemics. We represent the high quality standards of Turkish fruit in our export markets. As Anadolu Etap, we will continue to support the agricultural and rural development in our country while meeting the need for healthy and high quality, fresh fruit and fruit juice in the global markets.
