The third season of the National Confectioners Association’s award-winning streaming series, The Sweet Life, is now streaming online at NCASweetLife.com.

What you need to know: The Sweet Life takes viewers behind the scenes of the $54 billion confectionery industry to explore the magic of candy making and celebrate the people who make America’s favorite treats. The second season of the series was recognized with 11 honors in the 45th Annual Telly Awards, making it one of the most-awarded pieces of work in the contest.

John Downs, president and CEO of the National Confectioners Association, said:

“The Sweet Life captures the spirit of our industry – creative, joyful, and deeply rooted in American manufacturing. Season 3 features more of the people and companies whose pride and passion for candy making is evident in each of our favorite treats.”

What else you need to know: The third season of the series features seven companies from across the United States.

  • Endangered Species Chocolate – Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Ferrero USA – Parsippany, New Jersey and Franklin Park, Illinois
  • Mars Wrigley – Hackettstown and Newark, New Jersey
  • PIM Brands – Park Ridge and Somerset, New Jersey
  • Seattle Chocolate – Seattle, Washington
  • See’s Candies – Los Angeles, California
  • Sprinkk – Omaha, Nebraska

Chocolate, candy, gum, and mints are produced in all 50 states, and the industry employs nearly 58,000 workers in more than 1,600 manufacturing facilities across the country. For every job created in confectionery manufacturing, another 11 are supported in related industries. In total, nearly 700,000 American jobs are supported by the U.S. confectionery industry.
