Could you introduce us your company briefly?

When Altunkaya Group was founded in 1980 by Altunkaya family, the aim of the family was to build the priority preferred company among other companies around the World. In 1996, Altunkaya Group of companies had become a powerful and well-known company in its region and in neighboring countries.
Today, Altunkaya Group of Companies has been among Turkey’s first 100 exporter companies every year. Altunkaya Group has more than 15 operating companies in more than 7 countries and employing nearly 2000 people worldwide. Altunkaya Group’s worldwide headquarter is in Gaziantep, TURKEY.
What does your product range include?
The company has obeyed national and international food and health certificates for all its products. Altunkaya Group presents its services with modern production method within the scope of “Total Quality Principle”. It keeps nature’s pure nutrients alive and suspend complete nutrition at full potency, maintaining the taste, aroma and color only nature can offer.
The achievements of our group are: MAHMOOD brand, in tea, coffee, other hot drinks and rice; ŞEMS brand in sun flower oil; ALTUNSA brand in sun flower oil, tomato paste, pulse, cereals olives, olive oil, pasta, canned food, sauces, powder drink, etc. CONFY, POTTY, SWISS, PIPERO and BABYLOOK brands in wet wipes, baby shampoo, tissue paper; ARIMO brand in kitchenware and white goods; AYS brand in cleaning products; LIVAN’S, MOBILE DRINK and PILOT brands are in powder drink and EURO DRINK brand is in fresh Juice and powder drink products.
Do you mostly sell them in domestic or foreign markets?
Altunkaya Group of Companies performs most of its activities in the export channel and it performs sales to more than 70 countries all over the world principally in Middle East and gulf countries and makes considerable contributions to the country economy.
You have recently won an award from TIM and GAIB. Can you furnish us with information about that award?
Our company did not ruin its lasting tradition for this year and became the most exporting company in Gaziantep and Southeast area. We are among the top 30 exporting companies in Turkey and are awarded with exporters record holder award.
Can you tell us about your participation in international fairs? Which fairs are important for your company and products?
Every year we are participating in international exhibitions. Exhibitions are important for us and we consider each fair with same attention. However, Dubai Gullfood, Russia prodexpo, Erbil Agrofood and Germany Annuga, China Sial exhibitions are higher-level fairs regarding participation and organization.
How do you evaluate the future of the Turkish food industry?
Food sector gained a new dimension with the effect of globalization in world economy, new development and change trends. Marketing chances are provided in all over the world. Turkey is one of the countries rapidly adapting to this new trend. World food trade shifted to packaged and high quality products instead of bulk products. Consumers prefer daily used branded products. According to recent researches, 120 of 150 vegetable products that are traded in the world can be economically grown in Turkey thanks to its climate diversity and also grows certain agricultural products in long term and harvests. It provides various raw materials as fresh to foo industry due to this large agriculture potential. Food industry processes these raw materials and exports to the world. Turkey is very lucky in this aspect. The important point here is that acquired products are presented to consumers with high quality.
