UPM Specialty Papers is looking forward to attending Fachpack 2025, where you will find us on stand 329 in hall 3A.

Demand for sustainable packaging continues to experience rapid growth. At Fachpack, visitors will have the opportunity to explore UPM’s innovative portfolio of fibre-based, recyclable packaging papers, designed to help customers and brand owners achieve their future packaging ambitions.

The portfolio features several new and exciting solutions co-created with customers and expert partners from across the packaging value chain. These solutions also support packaging sustainability goals and align with the aspirations of EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.

Many of these collaborative solutions will be showcased at Fachpack, including:

  • UPM Specialty Papers x Royal Vaassen: recyclable, food-safe barrier paper solutions designed for a wide range of end-use applications, from medium to high barrier requirements. These include innovative packaging formats such as canister applications, which are ideal for demanding products such as coffee, tea or chips.
  • UPM Specialty Papers x EvoPak x Walkers Chocolate: a recyclable paper wrapper for chocolate and other demanding end-uses. The new paper packaging protects the contents from oxygen and grease, while maintaining the efficiency of the packaging line. It is a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic wrappers.
  • UPM Specialty Papers x BOBST x Michelman: an innovative, high-barrier, and recyclable paper-based packaging solution that offers a sustainable alternative to multi-laminate structures. It is especially designed for long shelf-life products such as coffee, spices and other demanding end-uses.
  • UPM Specialty Papers x Orkla Suomi: a fibre-based wrapper for milk chocolate. For a six-month pilot period, a paper wrapper replaced the traditional plastic one. The aim of Orkla Suomi’s pilot was to test renewable packaging material without compromising recyclability.
